Canal du Nivernais

The 105-kilometer Telemark Canal of Norway climbs from the sea past Skien (located 100 kilometers southwest of Oslo) either north to Notodden on a level river & lake cruise or through a series of locks northwest to Dalen in the center of steep mountainsides and deep lakes. The Halden Kanal links several lakes, but does not connect into Sweden (overland transport to the Gota Kanal by truck is available.)

EuroCanals does not currently offer a guide for the waterways of Norway.
